VELHO is a black metal band based in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Crude and uncompromising, with an intense discharge of chaos poetry and existential darkness. Formed in 2009 by Thiago Splatter (drums) and Caronte (voices, guitars), they started to spread their hatred in their native tongue of portugese, carving their own path in the Brazilian black metal scene. Their debut album Decrepitude & Sabedoria is one of the most prolific brasilian black metal releases, having been issued several times on both LP and CD. Their brand new, sophomore full-length A Retorno da Mesma Lua has received great reactions in their home country so far, and VELHO are now ready to bring their special brand of thrashing black metal to the international underground via Immortal Bytes!
